Product Description

The optical cable adopts a loose sleeve layer twisted structure, and 250 µ m optical fiber is inserted into a loose sleeve made of high modulus material, which is filled with waterproof compound. The loose sleeve (and filler) is twisted around the non-metallic center reinforced core (FRP) to form a compact cable core, and the gaps in the cable core are filled with waterproof fiber filling gel . The outer core of the cable is extruded with a polyethylene (PE) inner sheath, then twisted with aramid to strengthen it, and a layer of polyethylene (PE) inner sheath is extruded. Finally, a polyethylene (PE) outer sheath or an electric resistance (AT) outer sheath is extruded.


Product Application
The design of optical cables fully considers the actual situation of power lines and is suitable for different levels of high-voltage transmission lines. For 10kV and 35kV power lines, polyethylene (PE) sheathing can be used; For 110kV and 220kV power lines, the optical cable hanging point must be determined by calculating the distribution of electric field strength and using an anti electric trace (AT) outer sheath. At the same time, the amount of aramid is carefully designed and the twisting process is perfected to meet the application requirements of different spans.
